This is the ultimate in tropical romance! Imagine soaring over Kilauea Volcano on a thrilling helicopter tour, a dramatic remote landing for a refreshing swim in a romantic waterfall, followed by a return drive that visits scenic waterfalls and tropical rainforests! Start by boarding our comfortable, air-conditioned aircraft and heading out towards the active volcano. Lush tropical rainforest gives way to starlk black lava flows as you approach the volcano and peer into the Pu`u O`u crater (weather permitting). Look for surface flows and lava entering the ocean as your pilot safely navigates his way around columns of steam and smoke rising from the volcanic landscape.

Circle back and head north past Hilo over several waterfalls. Cleared for landing by ground crew, your pilot will make a breathtaking landing at a remote location where you will be met by your guide. Here you can enjoy a refreshing swim or kayak in a natural mountain pool fed by a 40 foot waterfall, explore the old flume trail that carried water to the crops in sugar cane days, or just relax in our custom built pavilion. A Hawaiian-style BBQ lunch will be prepared by your guide. The return drive includes stops at iconic Big Island waterfalls and scenic routes. What To Know

Pickup Locations: Pickup as designated location in Hilo.

Duration: Approximately 6 hours including air tour.

What to Bring: Towel, video and/or still cameras, government issued ID, and tour vouchers.

What to Expect:Moderate air temperatures at sea level with cooler temperatures on the drive through higher elevations, cool water temperatures, occasional rain showers, walks across uneven, rocky terrain including the recent black lava flows, several step and uneven stairs leading to waterfall grotto, exclusive group limited to 6 guests per tour, tour locations with private access created just for our guests, red lava may not be seen on this tour, drive from Kona to Hilo is approximately 2.5 hours with stops along the way.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothes in layers, shorts are fine, with swimsuit (either under clothes or bring to change into), light jacket or sweater, sunglasses and hat, comfortable closed-toe shoes are required (sandals and flip-flops will not be accepted)

Guests should be able to negotiate steep, uneven stairs and walk for 20 minutes unassisted, all ages can be accommodated with the following restrictions:

* Weight limitations are 22 pounds minimum and 240 pounds maximum

* State law requires child safety seats for all guests under 4 years of age (we’re happy to supply seats at no charge with advance notice)

* Booster seats required for all guests between ages 4 and 7 and under 4 feet 9 inches tall and 80 pounds weight (we’re happy to supply seats at no charge with advance notice)

* Comfort seat available for purchase for guests over 240 pounds

* Guests under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult

* Volcanic emissions, including sulfur gas, may affect those with respiratory concerns

* Participants should be prepared for immediate evacuation in accordance with directions given by County, State and/or Federal officials
